About DVMcenter
DVMcenter is a growing innovative, interdisciplinary team providing compassionate services for clients facing end-of-life decisions for their pets. DVMcenter works with mobile end-of-life practices around the country, communicating with their clients and scheduling their visits. What our care coordinators do:
- Communicate with clients and DVMcenter member veterinarians via phone and email
- Support clients in navigating end-of-life decisions for their pets
- Schedule and coordinate visit logistics for clients, veterinarians, transporters, and referring clinics
- Assist with special projects, such as resource development and administrative support
- Engage with teammates through training initiatives, staff meetings, and virtual messaging systems
What we look for in you:
- Availability for full-time (32-40hrs) schedule and 1- 2 weekend shifts per month. Weekday schedule consists of 10a-6p CST or 11a-7p CST shifts. Weekends are paid at a higher hourly rate and typically consist of 9-5CST shifts.
- Reliable self-starter with the ability to work effectively on a remote team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion while speaking with emotional clients
- Basic understanding of end-of-life veterinary care or a motivation to learn
- Good working knowledge of technology, client record management, and PC equipment
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage starting at $17-18/hour with a $4/hr weekend differential, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes 3 weeks of PTO per year, 401k retirement plan with company match, employee veterinary discounts, ongoing work-from-home opportunities, and medical, vision, and dental benefits. Employees are eligible for quarterly profit sharing after first 90 days of employment.
